After taking a hiatus since early May, I’m excited to be back blogging now, sharing the joys of June with all of you. The past month has been a bustle of memories and happy occasions, during which time I graduated from Cornell and have moved back to Washington. The Washingtoniette is back!
“And what is so rare as a day in June? Then, if ever, come perfect days; Then Heaven tries earth if it be in tune, And over it softly her warm ear lays.”
I’ve dearly missed my readers, and I’m sorry to have not posted for so long a time. Thank you for all of your warm wishes and sentiments while I was away. Though I was not posting and commenting, I was stopping by your blogs a lot and have been very much enjoying all of your wonderful posts.
I’m looking forward to meeting up with with those of you who are in the DC area this summer – We must plan a get-together!
There is so much to catch up on, I hardly know where to begin. May Day, Memorial Day….I hope you all had very happy May celebrations and a warm welcome to this long-awaited summer season.
To begin, in this post will be a few photos from graduation weekend:
Beautiful dogwoods blooming for graduation!
We had the most amazing dinner on Friday night at the Aurora Inn, and we bumped into the lovely ladies from Mackenzie Childs on the porch beforehand.
I got my dress (Lilly Jubilee) from the Madison Ave store at the Lilly-Martha Stewart party!
Ambling the Vineyards at Sheldrake Point Winery before dinner on graduation evening.
Thank you to those at Simply Red Bistro at Sheldrake for the most perfect graduation dinner!
I adore your 2007 Gewurztraminer, and the Summer White too, always is a favorite.
Congratulations to everyone else who graduated this month! I’ve loved seeing your photos, and I hope to hear about all your exciting new plans for this summer and beyond.
Good night everyone, and see you tomorrow!
